- Yesterday, I received this message from an alert seller who refused to be scammed. Here is her story.
“Email sent by: c_____AT hotmail.com who can be contacted at: A smart seller
After posting an ad on this site, I was promptly contacted by “an interested buyer” who said he wanted to buy my RV with a cashiers check made out for $1400 above the asking price. He said this was to pay the moving company that would pick up the RV. After telling him I would not accept a cashier’s check for anything other than the exact asking price, he stopped emailing me and would not respond. He also offered me $50 extra to immediately remove my ad (which I did for free). His name is Kelvin Smith, email kelvinstore?? AT hotmail.com I would appreciate it if you would notify your advertisers in some way of this scam. If you have any questions or want copies of his emails to me please contact me.”

- To maximize search engine indexing of your free classified ads, it is imperative to create a reader friendly, descriptive titles and a slightly verbose descriptions for them.
Your classified ad description should be detailed and include keywords but avoid keyword stuffing.
The title should be between 5-8 words and the description should be between 50-100 words.
Do not post duplicate classified ads. This idiotic practice is a detractor for readers, not to mention damages the integrity of the site. If you do have classified ads listed on another website, simply link them to this site. But do not copy the ad to this site!
Do not be afraid to add pictures to your classified ads. This will attract more buyers to your free classified ads.
Go ahead and flag classified ads that are obvious scams. Again, these types of classified ads do not add any value to our community and need to be removed soonest.
Here are some examples of effective titles:
-1998 Ford Ranger for sale 30K miles
-3 month old HP multifunction printer
-FreeAdLists is Offering Free Classified Ads
-2 year old black lab with AKC registration
